The Moog Voyager synth I bought arrived from the US, and I finally dragged it to the studio and tried it out (And I do mean dragged - the damn thing's built like a tank!). Well, what can I say? An amazing machine. I think I finally understand how a violinist feels about a Stradivarius.

I did some reprogramming on my blog - mainly to play around with Twitter's API. Unfortunately, this resulted in old posts reappearing all over Facebook - sorry about that, Facebook friends...

Had a coffee at the notorious Café des 2 Moulins (you know, the Amelie one...) and took one last stroll to Montmartre, before catching the plane from sunny Paris to dark, cold and rainy Copenhagen. Pictures from the whole trip here.

Went back to Île St-Louis for more Berthillon ice cream. But first, we had a fine lunch at the Michelin-mentioned Les Fous de L'ile. Highlight: The slightly odd-sounding French toast with escargots. At a small Berthillon café (the main tea room was closed), I was taken in by the lovely simplicity of their Coup Colonel: In a tall glass, one scoop of lime sorbet, one scoop of passion fruit sorbet and a dash of (cheap) vodka over the whole thing. Voilá!

Took the stairs up the Eiffel Tower. By the first platform I thought my fear of heights had gotten the better of me - but one beer later I took another flight to the second platform - which is as far as the steps go. While the view of Paris is stunning, the building itself really is a masterpiece of functioncal ingenuity and transparent elegance. Certainly one of my favourite pieces of architecture - maybe even my favourite. (And getting back down the stairs was a breeze...) Pictures here.
