Yet another remix of the two songs I intend to put on my solo debut single - and I do believe we have a finished product! For those following my work, the songs are "The Same Mistake" and "The Airplane Song". Estimated release early autumn. I'll keep you posted.

Again, I decided on short notice to attend a gig: Morrissey played the otherwise horrid KB-hallen, but the sound was reasonable. By now, his band has evolved from somewhat anonymous hired hands to... well, a proper band - with personality, attitude and energy. The set was his current mix of Smiths classics and the best of his solo work - without the traditional (and rather boring) emphasis on his latest album. And to prove the band's integrity, they had their own personal take on many of the songs. In fact, one of the evening highlights was the darkest and most menacing version of (the already sombre) "How Soon is Now?" I've ever heard. The king of indie croon also managed to convey the sarcasm at the heart of his self-pity in songs like "How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?" (and what an excellent version of "I Have Forgiven Jesus" he could have done tonight). The crowd was with him all the way - evidently ardent fans. How else could an arena full of Danes sing along to "... and spit upon the name Oliver Cromwell" as if they knew who he was in the first place?

Gear fetishism in Neon Machine is still rampant. At tonight's rehearsal I had my first view of Morten's new Fender Jaguar bass. Standing iin my spot behind the analog synths I now savour the sight of two guys with Jags - one guitar, one bass - and feel more indie by the minute...

Flew back to Copenhagen. And the Danske Bank site I worked on - and which launched just before I left - is now actually attracting users...

Spent most of this trip to Berlin taking long walks around the city - something Berlin is eminently suited for, it must be said. Pictures here.
