Took a stroll through the nearby Montmartre Cemetery - with its rows of sepulchres like strange little stone houses for the dead probably one of the weirdest places I've ever visited. Didn't do the "graves of the famous" tour, but did come across Berlioz, Offenbach and Foucault (the pendulum guy, not the philosopher).
Later, we went to the small island of Île St-Louis - one of my favourite spots in Paris. After another fine lunch at Le Caveau de l'Isle and an ice cream dessert at the Berthillon tea room, we were close to a culinary overdose...
